some kind of social psychologist tries to hit all the right notes, post Trump victory.

I get why they do this. Everybody wants their good run to continue, and don't like surprises (like utter chaos in the country).

I even agree with him. almost completely.

Except the guy seems to assume that both the left and right start at same point. In fact, liberals start with a huge disadvantage, and quickly lose any advantage gained through their pride the moment they taste victory.

The default condition of human is conservative. And its always an uphill battle to be liberal. which also facilitates innovation (in most cases).
