Catfish is predatory fish also

it feeds on almost anything in water. Also it thrives well in polluted water too. 

Possibility Mercury in the fish.

Most fish you find locally is from the Pacific man. Pacific lo telusu kadaa heavy pollution due to Fukushima spillover. Atlantic fish is less polluted, at least at the moment.
