Amazon is in Seattle though, living closer to Amazon is bit expensive and crowded....most Indians prefer to stay around Bellevue/Redmond...closer to i-5..

Bellevue/Redmond lo konni apartments aithe motham desis tho kabza...saturday/sunday aithe all curries smell vastadi..

enjoy your stay...Seattle,  A beautiful city for the summer but try to avoid Indian communities if you are looking to enjoy what North west offers to life but, If  you think crap the hell with northwest, then look around for desi communities, its same like living in Dallas, Charlotte, San Jose, Hyd, Blore etc..

You have bus service from Bellevue/Redmond to Seattle...usually takes about 30-45 mins each way and frequent services are available and usually these buses are very crowded as most people park their car in the parking lot and hop on the bus to reach seattle...about $2 each way..

Simple answer to your fikar...If you want to save money, choose to stay in Bellevue/Redmond on a sharing basis..

If you can afford downtown lifestyle, then prefer seattle where you can get a room share for $1000..watch out, taxes are high in the state and parking is expensive and mostly paid..

The parking is free in these lots...park and ride lots...they are mostly along 495..and you can find them conveniently located near the exits..most people park  their cards FREE in these lots and hop on the bus to reach seattle union park.

yeah, there used to be a shuttle from union park station to amazon office but for a desi, it is useless. trust me.

Its really nice place to living in Seattle, people who got projects here they stay for long years. I am here since last 5 years, please check for apartments in Bothell especially in Avana 522. Amazon shuttle available from this apartment.
