The thing that keeps me awake at night..

I don't have kids. The world's fcuked up enough, to not add more of them, I believe. Plus, I'm planning to live atleast 200 yrs, traveling to as many planets as I can.

But the only bother I have is, how to keep my nephews/nieces (ages ranging from 6-19) away from this fake news thingy. Without preaching to them.

So far, I've managed to understand the psyche of idiots who consume these news. None of my nephews/nieces are half as dumb, and can question illogical arguments. However, I keep worrying when the deluge of false information will dull their minds, and make them mindless sheep too.

It's tough being a parent. I have absolute respect for people who chose to be one, as long as they don't raise their kids teaching him/her to hate.

I have also devised a method of detoxification, in case one of my nephews/nieces fall prey to this disease.

That is why being a liberal is the worst idea in the world. The very nature of liberalism tends to put other people's choices ahead of your own.

This also makes liberal falsehoods extremely sophisticated and hard to check for truth. 

I encourage every nephew/niece of mine to not fall into the liberal trap, and fcuk their life up.

being a conservative (asshole) is not even an option, though.

u have made some very good points...And I think most kids can easily identify with liberal ideology , as its the most relevant in the present day and age.

But the problem is whom they follow..As kids are easily impressionable, I think its better to start them on the right foot by encouraging them to read some very good books on Liberalism.

Once they get their feet wet, its easy to build on it and they should have enough commonsense by then to have a rational thinking.

I have a problem with rational thinking itself, without access to the truth of matter which is being thunk

May be I'm overthinking it, the perfect example I have for failure of rational thinking is the Climate change discussion in mainstream media.

The objective reality is, climate scientists models are mathematically unsound (models built on top of models) and their projections unreal, but the subjective reality is that everyone can 'feel' that climate change is happening (except republicans).

I'm not against Climate change activism, but I wish the activism is done with a handle on objective truth, than believing subjective truths.

conclusion: don't blindly follow the herd, even if its a liberal herd. especially if its a liberal one.
