PM Modi popularity soars after Demonetization, BJP led NDA set to win 360 seats: India Today Survey

The survey clearly indicates that India’s mood is with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government if the national polls are held today. The survey states that Modi-led NDA will win at-least 360 seats if the national elections are held today. It also says that Congress-led UPA may get 60 seats. 

whereas, the number of seats which Congress-led UPA would win is projected to be 60. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, UPA was reduced to mere 48 seats, with Congress bagging 44 out of it.

The survey claims that ‘Others’, who are neither aligned to BJP, nor the Congress, would emerge victorious on 123 seats.

The vote share of NDA, the survey points out, would increase to 42 per cent. In the previous elections, NDA, under the Modi wave, had grabbed approximately 38 per cent of the vote share.

 

The findings of the survey were based upon the research conducted between the period of December 30 to January 9, India Today claimed. Further details would be released in the print edition of India Today magazine.
