but market is slow i agree, but hiring is also happening......i think you have too many filter in the search criteria

Look for FTE jobs if you have atleast 3 yrs of genuine experience ... Don;t get greedy for money in consulting.  Most consulting jobs are for OPT's and starting years of H1's.

Recently, most requirements are mentioning specifically : No H1B's. May be once DT has some clarity on H1 bills, then life will be back to normal.
