I paid $1700 for a room in a single bed apartment so yes. Plus I lived near TenderKnob which is the trashiest part of town. 

Pacific Heights ayithe it would be around 4500 for a single bed, 6000 for a 2 bed. 

Rents are totally out of control there.

My friend moved to Hyd in 2015 and now he works at Microsoft Hyd for 30 lakhs package per annum plus benefits plus paid vacation plus own house .
