critic Posted March 14, 2017 Report Posted March 14, 2017 I was in a similar situation 3 months ago. first be clear with your requirements. -automatic vs manual gearbox- for parents recommend automatic. If you have driver then it's doesn't matter -Hatchbach vs sedan - depends on your primary usage. For parents in city driving recommend hatchback. -safety features- personal choice. I would buy a car with all the safety features possible - airbags/ abs with ebd/ esc. - service cost and maintenance. - looks -personally my last preference. around 10 lakhs my first choice : subcompact SUV - Vitara Brazza( petrol AMT version will release this year) - little more expensive - Ford ecosport ( DCT Automatic) Hatchbacks - Baleno - Honda Jazz(CVT) - Honda Brio(CVT) - Grand i10(AT) - Ford Figo (DCT Automatic) I don't recommend i20 as it doesn't come with any safety features in Automotic version. from my personal experience ( Brio and Figo both Automatic) Brio- only negative looks and boot space. Drive and performance excellent. Dont recommend it as a primary car. Figo- very underrated car- it has 1.5 Litre engine. Excellent performance/ some compromise with mileage. Maintenance not expensive like it used to be. I didn't have any bad experience so far. overall Sub compact SUV's are best in cost per value. for the lengthy message Quote
