A man has been shot by armed police outside UK parliament, according to reports.

Eyewitnesses have reported seeing an attacker with a knife within the grounds of the palace of Westminster.

The building is on lockdown, according to parliamentary official.

At least a dozen people have been injured on Westminster Bridge, according to Reuters.
