Thats all BS. And it was just mythology. No one takes mythology as serious historical event. South people are the indigenous people of Indian subcontinent. The genetics/DNA of Indus vally/harappa mohenjo daro matches closely with that of present day Tamilians. And there were some similarities in the language and other culture aspects. Jallikattu had its origins in the Indus valley and the present Sindh region of Pak. All the fair people of pak/north are imports over 7K years. Initially from some parts of Europe/Kazakisthan/Tazikistan/ and etc. And later Arabs through wars.

There's a fringe hypothesis in anthropology, based on analysis of migration patterns, that everyone outside of Africa, excluding some regions, have south asian origins. By South Asian, mostly they mean what you are referring to as 'Tamils'.

btw, Tamils belong to same sub group that majority of Indians belong to. Some groups like TamBrams have more in common with certain north indian groups. Thats all.
