Okappudu it was probably united man, that's before they were exposed to Western cultures and westerners in general. 

Now a days there's too many things that divide Indians as a nation, it could be your regional affiliation, caste affiliation, even your skin color can make you a target of discrimination. 

Delhi velli choodu oka sari they rip on you because you are Southern Indian, same is the case with North Easterners and the treatment they face in Delhi.
