Let's say out of 199000, 100000 are MS quota applications.  Then first lottery 20,000 out of 100000 - That is a 20% chance. 

Second lottery is 65000 out of 179000 - That is a 36.3% chance. 

So total chance for a Master's guy - 20% plus 36.3% which is 56.3%(roughy 1 out of 2 or 1.1 out of 2)

Total chance for a non Master's guy - 36.3%(roughly 1 out of 3)

Second lottery is 65000 out of 179000 - That is a 36.3% chance.

cos, there is no confirmation on the actual number of MS applications...20k..plus an additional 20k in general quota...that makes 40k in total..

with expected 50k MS guys applied for h1 thisyear, that makes 4 out 5 successful..
