Let's say out of 199000, 70000 are MS quota applications.  Then first lottery 20,000 out of 70000 - That is a 28.5% chance. 

Second lottery is 65000 out of 179000 - That is a 36.3% chance. 

So total chance for a Master's guy - 28.5% plus 36.3% which is 64.8%(roughly 2 out of 3)

Total chance for a non Master's guy - 36.3%(roughly 1 out of 3)

Second lottery is 65000 out of 179000 - That is a 36.3% chance. 

So total chance for a Master's guy - 20% plus 36.3% which is 56.3%(roughy 1 out of 2 or 1.1 out of 2)

Total chance for a non Master's guy - 36.3%(roughly 1 out of 3)

Second lottery is 65000 out of 179000 - That is a 36.3% chance. 

So total chance for a Master's guy - 33.3% plus 36.3% which is almost 70%(7 out of 10 chance)

Total chance for a non Master's guy - 36.3%(roughly 1 out of 3)

More than that. In year 2015, there were 85K graduate students from India. It has been increasing 20% ever year.

Sevis lo chudu, last year around 35k mandi STEM OPT mida vunnaru anta...andulo oka 10% pakana peteyu...might have moved over to h4 ead,h4,dependent,went back for good, went back to school again etc etc...

active ga 30k vesuko...non stem la inkoka 10k vesuko..

oka 70k total..again vellu andaru 100% h1b vestaru ani nammakam ledu kada...project mida lekapovadam, other plans vundadam, first time OPT ki h1b file cheyakapovatam hoping they have 2 more chances, ila oka 10k teeseyu...in house porjects ki pedaga encopurage cheyakjapovadam..many things happened this time..

SInce 2016, the numbers are actually going down...and after this border POE issues and accredition things, the number is going to fall further..
