I have two kids, if i wanted to go for a movie on first day its costing me more than $25 * 4 = $100 ( just to get  into theater).

What is going wrong ? help me understand please

i think distributers buy at high prices for the rights. and they end up increasing the ticket costs.

india lo max price ki regulation undi. different rules for different states. Andhra has some strict rules wrt ticket costs.

Yes these big budget movie prices are crazy high....they are greedy and want to cash in the craze.... but to answer your question, dont compare to hollywood, since regional movies dont have much reach and is only targeting certain audience....

compare hollywood to bollywood prices, they will be same. 

Adi kakunda, mana south lo hero domination valla, cinema budget leka lekunda tayyaraindi and are selling for high prices..... 

Inception nuchi budget tagginchi, prices reasonable pedthe, ekkuva janalu chustharu....
