I have two kids, if i wanted to go for a movie on first day its costing me more than $25 * 4 = $100 ( just to get  into theater).

What is going wrong ? help me understand please

The main reason is Theaters charge same for Indian movies and English, but because the number of shows for indian movies per day is less compared due to length of the movie , the distributor has to compensate by increasing the $ ticket price.

Another reason is  distributors buy at higher price, But the above point is driving factor for ticket $ price
