SardarGabbarSingh Posted April 25, 2017 Report Posted April 25, 2017 Hello All, My cousin went to India and returned back to USA in January and on his way back he did realize that his passport is going to expire in May 22nd and at POE the officer stamped I-94 till May 22nd. And now he renewed his passport does he needs to go out of country to update his I-94 ? Or can he still stays in States and make a i-94 renew ? Your response is highly appreciated !! Quote

Android_Halwa Posted April 25, 2017 Report Posted April 25, 2017 I think if you are on f1 visa/OPT, You don't have to re enter and all as far as I know because for f-class visa, the i-94 expiry date depends on sevis or something.. but on all other, h1b and all, we need to re enter.. I'm not sure..but this is what I believe it is.. Quote
