‘Baahubali 2’ has collected 5.40 crore nett (approx 7 crore gross) in two days. According to the distributor Gopi Krishna Movies, the movie accumulated around 3 crore gross on Friday and 4 crore on Saturday. With this kind of business in Nepal, ‘Baahubali 2’ has become the biggest opener movie in Nepal ever. The previous highest opening day record was with Aamir Khan’s ‘Dhoom 3’ which had earned 90 lakhs nett but ‘Baahubali 2’ has broken this record by far.

In just two days, it has crossed the lifetime business of ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ in Nepal. ‘Baahubali 2’s two days business is equal to what Salman Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijan’ collected in 10 days and ‘Sultan’ in five days. The biggest Hindi movie grossers in Nepal are Sultan and Dangal (10 crore gross each) which, if we go by the trend of Baahubali 2’s performance, will be impoverished in just few upcoming days. Kind of sensational and unbelievable, right?

Gopi Krishna Movies, which had bought the rights of ‘Baahubali 2’ in 3.20 crore rupees, has already recovered the investment. QFX solely has made around 55 lakhs gross in two days, Basant Manandhar of QFX informed. With two more free weeks, Baahubali 2’s mania is going to create historical number at Nepal box office. Will it become the highest grosser ever by breaking the record of ‘Chhakka Panja’ which amassed 17 crore last year? Only time will tell.
