H1b experts , question on h1b dates

Friend got approval notice but dates are confusing.

And opt ends on feb 2018. So not sure why dates show starting januaty 2017 instead of october.

Also reciept number is eac-16-140-XXXX

Reciept date shown as april 2016 instead of 2017

Approval jan 3rd 2017

 

It also has a big stamp on it saying receive january 2016. Very confusing.

And it dont look like photshopped..very genuine.

Definitely his employer/attorney has to contact USCIS.

ask employer if they did tht?

Idi eh case lo vartinchadu since h1b start date is jan 2017 and Opt end date is feb 2018

It must be morphed.

or

He must have filed for amendment.

or

He must have a very long processing time(rfe issues)

That could be only reason for the confused dates.

It's not morphed but we can choose start date and that's what advocate did

Yes but TS didnt mention that this h1B was applied last year..if it was last year he would have to post everything clearly (RFEs)..

if H1B is for FY2018, then this approval has wrong dates.

wht u mean  ? even in this years h1, he can choose Jan 2018 as start date of fiscal yr 2018 and that what advocate did as he has opt ends in feb 2018
