I see her as best choice..

she is basically from Advani camp..so elevating her as President will completely remove the founder's mark on the party. 

Secondly, If she is proposed as a candidate, being a woman and all the soft respect she got as MEA MInister will work in her favour and chances are good that she might get elected unopposed. Opposition might not want to put up a candidate against her. 

Third, she is a woman. and party might feel elevating her as President might fetch a share of women's votes. 

A chance for BJP to embarass the opposition who are planning to get united for the Presidential candidate cause and in such a case if BJP puts up a candidate like Sushma and get her elected un oppposed, it would be big set back for the opposition. 

I don't see a reason for Venkayya Naidu to become President. Neither the state from which he hails has considerable BJP votebase.
