If maniratnam divorces his idiotic wife, and breaks out of his circle of assholes, he will make an extraordinary film within 5yrs.

told you no. Rajnikanth is a good man, who wants to do something for the disadvantaged.

it was a huge risk for a star of that stature to take that kind of preachy role.

even kamalahaasan never ventured there. He used to make films on castes which are oppressive, hailing their oppression as valour.

Rajnikanth is something else.

he did have guts to make movie on the atrocities of indian army against kashmiris ..he got balls for sure

but that's not his problem. He never had balls.

his problem is he's stuck in two worlds. one that his wife and her chamcha batch lives, and the other where his son lives.

just read his son's twitter feed. you'll notice how smart and articulate he is. something maniratnam never was. His son growing up has had a very bad effect on his movies. 

He wants to make movies to impress his son, but he's not good enough to do that.
