How can you generalize and say that Americans won't have lifetime commitment and all Indians will have lifetime commitment? Ikkada ide DB lo divorce ayinollu chala mandi unnaru, of course they have their own reasons but lifetime commitment is not a guarantee based on someone's race or religion.

I am not generalizing but i think it is too much to ask a person to follow something which is not in their culture when i don't follow my culture entirely. I do not want to take chances in married life. Ila unna ayite karma ...explore chesi kavalani try chesi ayite adi swayamkrutaparadham.  I personally know americans who are living happily married for last 30-40 years too and have extended cousins and friends happily married to americans as well. At the same time i know compromises they are making too. Unknown territory loki velli kashtalu techukolenu.

Oh okay. My friends that have married the women here all seem to be doing rather well, and some of their marriages have been 7-8 years ago so it's not like it was a yesterday's affair.

They all on top of being happy, have become US citizens and don't have to live a nomadic life moving from place to place like we do or worry about extensions/amendments and all that crap.

I understand where you are coming from... If i love an american thats different but status kosam love cheyadam or try cheyadam i cant. If status was so imp than life naku vachina matches lo GC/Citizen ni attitude ki compromise ayyi used to marry but i haven't considered that ever than the person's attitude and compatibility. It's all about priorities i guess.
