why do people hate Twitter more than Facebook?

I've never used Facebook.

I have used twitter, but not much. its a RW stinky swamp (worse than this db). but I don't hate twitter.

So I'm wondering why in all GNU social servers, there's huge backlash against twitter, and not its even more devious superior - Facebook.
