no. It can be used, but at a higher level of abstraction. that is - society. This is what RGV, Puri types do.

At the lowest level, its just intra species competition for scare resources (not even scarce now with growth in tech), and has nothing to do with change in environments. Everyone lives in approximately similar climates.

so its just pointless power projection, with no use. except perhaps a future war where 90% of the population is killed. That'll be the only positive outcome of what RGV, Puri types endorse and glorify.
