I had the misfortune of having to spend 4 weeks working in India. Truly the most disgusting place I have ever seen. All of New Delhi has maybe 5 trees left in it. Rivers are entirely filled with garbage and waste. People doing their business in the streets. Their "monuments" are falling apart, covered with grime and filth. You can't look 5 yards without seeing a slum, someone living in a tarp at the side of the road, or some skinny kid begging for money. Nothing but pollution and garbage. It was just absolutely disgusting. African countries are cleaner than India. And India wants to be a first world country?! The sad part is you can't even blame the individual people, they need to do their business somewhere... But there are just WAY TOO FREAKING INDIANS, and as there is nothing but corruption and greed in the Indian mind (even moreso for the "elite" upper castes and politicians), nothing gets done - no sewage systems, no basic infrastructure, no electricity, no running water. That place is doomee.

Most pools have a mechanism to detect that, maybe the pools you went to had this problem? Except maybe some young pranksters, majority of the people don't behave this way.
