Kodi Video addons -->Firestick vs ChromeCast

I am trying to stream movies/tv shows from KODI installed on my andriod to TV using ChromeCast. But most of the videos [Enithusan, Exodus FR etc] are failing to stream saying video format not supported. 

Do you guys know if these videos work fine on Firestick? When I searched online documentation, it says FLV, AVI are not supported in firestick also.

But I remember reading in this forum about few folks able to successfully stream movies using Firestick. Wanted to confirm on this before buying it.

Kodi lost lot of addons.. and there are several new ones coming make sure to update kodi repos first
