Putting aside technicalities, it is the complex plot and emotions that made the movie great. You should be proud of movie makers for showing the weaknesses of humans and apes as superior species.

Yes very good movie, one more great performance by Andy Serkis.

The problem with this movie is, they didn't put the same amount of thought on creating human characters, the way they did for the apes. Some of their actions was devoid of basic wartime logic.

I took some really young kids to this movie, and we had a nice discussion afterwards on it.

ofcourse, this franchise is way better than superhero ones. This, and Pacific Rim are the only franchise movies I looked forward to. Now this ended.

Yes I typically don't like most of the superhero franchise crap. But Planet of the Apes who franchise was very well rebooted. Good conclusion too. 

Since it's primary focus was on putting a conclusion to Caesar's character, I think it's understandable they didn't care much about the human characters angle. That said it wasn't too weak either, over all a good watch.

cardboard cutout villainry. I expected someone more sophisticated.

Planet of Apes did a good job showing human-ape interaction in the previous 2 films. It failed to do that in this film.

one of my nephew asked why caesar wasn't killed by the villain when he had the chance. haha.. he is 8.
