There is an end goal. even if its unintended. Societies evolve. They can evolve into fascist societies, or towards egalitarianism. The society will have to pick a side to evolve into, by making conscious choices.

I know a fascist society is not exactly a bad thing for the majority of people living in it, because they'll not be affected. Doesn't mean that everybody should just 'mind their business' and not fight against it.

civilization also kept us from exploring IVF treatments, and now biosynthetics to the maximum. Don't worry, it'll let us, when the rich people find a way to make sure that proliferation of these technologies can be controlled by them (again a delusion).

Looks like you are of this opinion that there is a set of people called rich who control the society

Rich people definitely have more leverage than an average joe

That doesn't mean they control the society

They definitely have many advantage over poor

But a society is one in which any one can be rich if they work hard

USA atleast offers it to some extent int he name of American dream

When I say mind your business, I am not saying keep quiet

If you want IVF treatments, work with like minded people to lobby for it

Edicate the society and make it a major issue

Then the governments will have to bow down

That is how we evolve

My original comment was based on my own experience. My house was ransacked twice, it is beyond city limits, and stands quite apart from the rest in the estate. I was advised to appoint security personnel to guard the premises. My interactions with the police over this encounter, and in general, made me think about how others view my success.

Either its just kids having fun scaring me, or my success is unacceptable to them (for whatever reasons). What are my options now? turn to the state to protect my property, and to use force on my behalf towards people who try to steal from me, or quietly shift to a humbler home, and live a simpler life.

Since I don't have kids, yet, I could easily make that choice. For others who make the choice of using the state to protect their property risks the entire balance on which the society functions. 

hence my original comment that its impossible to be decent, and happy, unless one is a sociopath in this world.

You seem to be too entitled

There will always be jealous, lazy, idiotic, dangerous people in the society

Some one might attack you for money, skin color etc.

Society doesn't encourage it

Now you should make up your mind. Should I just mind my business, and not wait for the world to give me what it 'owes' me, or should I lobby by forming associations with like minded people and pressurizing the govt? both are not the same, no?

Govts constantly prioritise defense spending (which is basically paying 1000 times the production cost of a weapon), over education, and health of their citizens (especially in US).

So there it is. which kind of lobbying can stop this massive waste of wealth?
