Yes I know one person whose career got destroyed by his addiction to heroin and meth. 

Long long ago nenu US ki appude ocha MS ki, appatlo temporary ga oka undergrad maa university ki sambandinchina Yahoo Groups(appatlo Facebook inka antha popular kaadu) lo nannu contact chesi temporary ga room accommodation kavali annadu sare ani maa room lo okay annamu he stayed for 2 weeks. 

Aa taravatha naa friend okadi room lo vacancy unte we recommended him to move there he moved there.

Mumbai ki chendina kurrodu baane jovial ga social ga untadu pretty good looking guy as well. 

Sare undergrad lo friendships ayyayi konni plus he got into contact with some people who did trippy things, he also joined a local band at the same time and they used to perform at the local bars and clubs on the weekends. Ila konni rojulayyaka he got into doing heroin and at some point also got into crystal meth. 

Of course ee vishayalu room lo evariki cheppaledu, he knew he would be discouraged and might even get into trouble so evariki teliyakunda chesevadu.

Eventually though this became public news and lots of people go to know about this addiction of his. 

Finally he became a total addict, his GPA fell below 2.0 and he was thrown out of the university. Edo local community college lo enrol ayyadu just to maintain his status, but continued to do drugs. 

Finally valla parents ki oka friend inform chesadu India lo veedu ila drug addict ayipoyadu ani. Valla daddy oka businessman he took a plane and immediately came down to confront him about this issue. 

One day ilane overdose ayyi he fell down on the road, local police ki kooda call vellindi but eventually some of the nearby apartment complex people that recognized him called some of his friends and they all ended up getting him back to a friend's apartment.
