Has any one used Automatic visa revalidation successfully

Has anyone travelled to Canada or Mexico with expired H-1B visa and valid I797 approval for a short period and returned back to USA safely under automatic visa revalidation rule? Throw some light!

ekkado forums lo chadiva but there was a hazzle at POE but successfully came back ani...

Yes,I used it

if your travel is under 30 days,you can use it

You will not be issued new i-94

Some officers may not know it,carry the Automatic Visa revalidiation info print out from state department website https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/general/automatic-revalidation.html

 and show to the Immigration agent,he will check with his higher ups (if he is not aware of the rule)
