It is so obvious that most of the folks in this thread do not know about  grave repercussions of domestic violence. Let me give you details on the severity of the case. If wife wants to book him under domestic violence, his life will be gone.< don't even think of a peaceful arrest> you will have a criminal record, a jail time, you have to put all these details in every paper work you make for any kind of business you are involved in be it  a job hunt, rent a house or any other help from either community or government.  It will haunt you till your death in the USA. 

Believe me hitting wife or physical altercation with wife can turn your life upside down. Don't ever take it easy. It is most underestimated act in our community. This is not our country, laws are not benevolent and police are not friendly and courts are not easy to maneuver.  Simply , You make you life hell .

Arguments are casual between wife and husband but laws are so strict and become harsh and they pound you if you get physical with your partner. 

 

Be calm, better way is to walk out of the situation. Never ever try to get physical with any one in the USA.
