Willing to negotiate with employer on 20%

Earlier years, people used to get EAD within 3-4 years of time , so paying 20% for 3-4 years make sense. Now it takes forever, cannot lose all dollars for Life time, for more than a decade. Give me some sun light to get out of that cycle, negotiation tips please?

if possible depending on ur tech look for a FT
