Parents traveling alone suggestion

My parents will be coming to visit me this October for a month , i live in minneapolis , but any fight to minneapolis has either transfer in US or in Europe. I am little concerned if they will be confused with transfer

I have option of AIR india to chicago and than i drive to chicago to pick them up , but the drive is 5 to 6 hours and i think they will be very tired with that travel and than car journey

2nd option is book wheel chair , and book a flight from hyderabad to amsterdam and from there to minneapolis , but little concerned if they will be ok traveling through europe.

Book wheel chair and they would be absolutely fine. The wheel chair guy would pick luggage and also wait till you meet them.  Happy Journey to your parents .

5-6 hours drive in car would be very tedious after 21-22 hrs flight even for us and for elders inka kashtam. Velaite avoid this.

When there is a connection..they will wait for them and pick them up from flight whether it is in different country or domestically. Checkin time lo make sure they ask for wheel chair.

Bro ,my parents came for the 1st time ,couple of weeks ago (HYD -- Dubai -- JFK -- MSP ) (Emirates) . Just make sure you call the Airlines and confirm about wheelchair assistance . They will get assistance , incase the wheelchair guys are not there , they can ask the security or any airline related personnel  that they need wheelchair assistance . The wheel chair guys will take care of them for Terminal changes/flight changes/delays/taking them to restroom . My dad could speak some english and they managed with that, make sure they have india phone with roaming so that they can contact you . At any airport there would be someone who can help them in guiding .

Driving to chicago is a good option , but again after travelling for 24-26 odd hrs , again they  have to sit for  6 hrs from Chicago to MSP , think about that.

The simple suggestion would be...Book Air India flight till chicago and pick them up in Chicago...I know 5-6 hour drive is tedious but this is the most hassle free process..

Book an SUV or Minivan...good if you have one already...!  Parents vastuanru kada ani motham batch ni eskoni poku airport ki...

Kudirithe few hours munde vellipo..hotel teesuko ni panduko...mee intollu vachinaka receive chesukuni...hotel ki poi..fresh ayi..jara tini..oka ganta sepu kusoni...then start to minneapolis...bindaas ga velipotaru..

look for comfort while travelling man...not panicking..!

Wheel chairs are for the people who have difficulty in walking around... it's purpose is different.

I know being a desi, we are good at abusing the system and taking advantage of the loop holes but, leave this thing apart.
