In-Person Interviews to be Required Prior to Approving I-485s in All Employment-Based Cases

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has clarified its new policy on the expanded use of in-person interviews. Effective October 1, 2017, the USCIS will begin requiring an in-person interview prior to approving any application to adjust status (form I-485) filed based on an employment-based petition (e.g., form I-140). The in-person interview requirement will also apply to beneficiaries of refugee / asylee relative petitions (form I-730). This is being instituted in response to an executive order issued by President Trump.

There are still numerous unanswered questions regarding this new policy, including whether derivative family members in employment-based cases will be required to attend in-person interviews. Moreover, given the lengthy wait times that exist for other green card categories where in-person interviews are already required, such as certain types of marriage-based cases, it remains unclear how the USCIS will be able to devote sufficient resources to handle this new interview requirement.

వాషింగ్టన్‌: అమెరికాలో గ్రీన్‌ కార్డ్‌ పొందడాన్ని ట్రంప్‌ ప్రభత్వం మరింత కఠినతరం చేయనున్నట్లు సమాచారం. దీనిలో భాగంగా గ్రీన్‌కార్డు దరఖాస్తుదారుడితో ఇమ్మిగ్రేషన్‌ అధికారులు ఇంటర్వ్యూ నిర్వహిస్తారు. ఈ నిబంధన గ్రీన్‌కార్డుల జారీలో అమలు చేయనున్నట్టు తెలిసింది. ఈ విషయాన్ని అమెరికా సిటిజన్‌షిప్‌, ఇమ్మిగ్రేషన్‌ సర్వీస్‌ ధ్రువీకరించింది. దీంతో ఉద్యోగ వీసాపై అక్కడికి వెళ్లిన వారు పౌరసత్వం కోసం ఇంటర్వ్యూని పూర్తి చేయాల్సి ఉంటుందని పొలిటికో పత్రిక పేర్కొంది. ఇక శరణార్థులుగా, వలసదారులుగా వచ్చిన వారు తాత్కాలిక ఆశ్రయం కోసం దరఖాస్తు చేసుకున్నా ఇంటర్వ్యూని పూర్తి చేయాల్సి ఉంటుంది. అక్టోబర్‌1 నుంచి ఈ కొత్త నిబంధనలు అమల్లోకి వస్తాయి. దీనిపై యూఎస్‌సీఐఎస్‌ అధికారి ఒకరు మాట్లాడుతూ భవిష్యత్తులో ఇంటర్వ్యూ విధానాన్ని మరిన్ని వీసా కేటగిరిలకు కూడా వర్తింపజేస్తామని తెలిపారు.

హోంల్యాండ్‌ సెక్యూరిటీ లెక్కల ప్రకారం 2015 ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరంలో దాదాపు 1,68,000 మంది వలసదారులు పౌరసత్వాన్ని పొందారు. వీరిలో చాలా మంది ఉద్యోగాల కోసం అమెరికాకు వచ్చినవారే.

I think on track it someone commented on the interview for his 485  . Nothing to stress out guys same questions as in the 485 application
