Republicans fear that once these people get citizenship, they will vote for Democrats...1 million votes....

So it only gives a false idea for everyone to become illegal and get GC faster... It;s a good move.. They should try to give GC's or EAD's to heavily backlogged employment category...

Neverthless, congress will pass legislation in the next 6 months to make them legal.. and we EB categories will be heavily backlogged.

No one cares about the EB category, since they aren't a sufficiently large enough votebank. DACAs and other illegal/undocumented categories that made it through here will get naturalized faster than the EB category people. Just wait and watch.

IWell said.Its around 2 million...but when compared to 1 million DACA....2 million EAD's in employment categories will take 20 years compared to DACA (if legislation happens through congress) which takes mostly 2-3 years..Yes no one cares about us...Issue is unity amongst ourselves compared to DACA where they are united and will fight for it...We cry on H1B's, h4's GC's, USC's. and caste system..This forum is a good example for all of this. So all that was left for us is crying on others and that;s the primary reason why n one cares.

Well said plus most of the Indian people that have got easy GCs and citizenships want this system to continue, so they can continue to exploit the ones that are waiting for the Green Cards. So they are happy with the status quo and they will in fact actively argue and campagin against granting EADs or GCs to the ones currently backlogged. It was evident by the way ITServe was formed and their agenda esp those speeches by Rahul Reddy.
