Yes .. they can.. but if the distributor opts their movie to be out of it.. you cannot sue MP for it...

its doesnt matter.....these are the terms n conditions 

as long as the theater is in the list....and as per the terms n conditions when you purchased, there should be no ifs n buts 

 

i think you can sue them or goto consumer court

one of my friends got around 5K, for suing ATT for something 

he spend 55$ and lil paper.....no hassle at all...
