russia - yes becoz they are strong

China - all speak but will not try to arm twist the US given that all their manufacturing base needs the US market

N.Korea - Yes it is the proverbial crazy guy but US is the only country that managed to get some of their citizens who were jailed there

almost all of the foriegners jailed there are from US and Skorea.

so US is the only country to have its citizens  prisoners there so naturally it doesmake it the only country to have some released

there are many more countries i can list..my point is that dont expect US govt to come and rescue its citizens.

Like any country would, US tells its citizens that they should abide by the local laws and are responsible for their own actions.

People join French foreign legion ani vinna bro...three years tarvatha french citizenship istharu...accept or reject, your wish...

oka vela reject chesi home country ki poyina em kadhu cuz you are not swearing allegiance to France or it's flag. You are only swearing allegiance to the FFL (by definition, it's a mercenary force)

Kani MAVNI ala kadhu ga, you will be considered part of US army and swear allegiance to US flag..US citizenship occhaka ne intiki povali malli, lekapothe desha droham case ee mostly.

This is my understanding. correct me if I'm wrong.

Plus India and US are military allies, so no question of persecution even if you were to broadcast you are ex US military, beyond maybe not granting you a OCI card and other such things.

Contrary to that, US and China are business and trade partners but are military opponents of each other, so Chinese citizens who go back to China could face issues.

No such issues again for people who are Pakistani or South Korean, both being military allies of US
