No Update on H4 EAD

Status Update: Last checked 11 AM EST on 27 Sep 2017. No change since 20 Sep 2017. Electronic Filing is due by 27 Sep 2017, however, the court allows parties to snail mail in the motion before the end of the due date.  Mail filing is due by end of day 02 Oct 2017.

Summary: In a response to the court order asking both the parties to file their motions on how to govern the case by 27 Sep 2017, Save Jobs has asked the court to reschedule the briefing and oral action in the absence of any publication in the Federal Register related to the H4 EAD rule. They also claim that the existence of the H4 EAD authorization causes injury to the plaintiffs and that DHS may use any delays accorded by the court to create a disguised alternate rule which allows H4 EAD workers to continue to work in the United States. The due date for filing by DHS i.e 27 Sep 2017 and date for filing the motion under mail service i.e 02 Oct 2017 is not yet over, so, hopefully, DHS will also file its motion in the next few days.
