Delta travel insurance policy

I bought a basic economy ticket during thanks giving week and had to cancel my trip. I also purchased trip insurance to be safe in case of changes.

Ipudu refund cheyymante chala documentation asking. I really don't like this. 

American airlines was far better. They once credited me more than half of my ticket price when I had to cancel same day.

Almost 2 months undhi inka thanksgiving ki. Ticket kuda waste avvadhu.

How to handle this situation and get my money back

I had to change dates and also found a better deal with AA. So I cancelled this one bought the other.
