I admire African Americans for that. They even refused the reservations when offered. They said they will fight hard and get their jobs and needs and that's why we have non discrimination law in US. Self respect and dignity of labour we 2 aspects lo I respect them

Desis in general try to look down upon them, avoid them etc without even knowing the basic fact that if not for the civil rights movement that they initiated, we wouldn't be driving around in our Beamers and living in fancy houses in White neighborhoods. Also their kids wouldn't be studying in schools where they aren't segregated on racial basis.

African Americans are infinitely better than desis, who mostly lack unity and fight among themselves in the name of caste, region etc. Also mostly exploit their own in the form of consultancies etc. Compared to that, African Americans are a million times better. Self respect and dignity of labor are both concepts alien to the vast majority of desis.

No, bokka kooda oche vallu kaadu. Ochina they would have been confined to manual labor jobs mostly, and segregated living quarters. Thank African Americans and their fight for the privileges we enjoy today. Contrary to that, I find most desis thinking they are superior to them for doing some IT coolie job.

It's not anyone's baap ka jagir, who do you refer to as "THEY" here? Also, every minority group had to fight for their rights including civil rights. You can thank the Blacks aka African Americans of this nation for the fact that you receive wages without discrimination, can get into any bar/dance floor in this nation without your race being a factor and also that you can drink water from any faucet in this nation without being discriminated.

If it weren't for the fact that the Black people had fought for your rights, their rights, every minority's civil rights you wouldn't even be living here without being discriminated as you today. So lay off that attitude of it's "THEIR" nation they will do whatever fcuk they want, and either join the fight or sit on your ass while there are people trying to make a difference.

Every group of minority had to fight for their rights in this nation, it's just that the fight is coming over to our doorstep now.

thaathayya chill..... I think by "their" he meant americans but not any single race

@tennisluvr also unlike blacks almost all of Indians went to the US willingly , most of them that are 'fighting' for GCs now actually landed in the US by applying for non immigrant visas which clearly says that u have to go back to India as soon as u're done with ur employment/study period

You are right. However the same can be said about DACAs, now there's a proposal in Congress to legalize their status. Why do you think would they do that? That's because DACAs have had a representation and are able to atleast address their grievances to the highest office.

These kids who have lived their entire lives here are trying to find a platform to address their grievances to as well. I think that's far more practical and feasible from their perspective rather than them going back to India and starting a new life all over again, a land and culture that's mostly alien to them.

DACAs were probably fleeing persecution in their home countries. Much easier to make the emotional case for them getting a citizenship.

Indians on the other hand are just professionals working for corporates.

But I have a feeling that these dreamers will find some way or the other. Whats the point of corporates ruling US, if they can't get such a simple thing done.

The politics around most of these issues seem to be just noise.

majority of these kids will end up dubai, or sydney or Toronto, or take up H1 visas.

its a mild irritant, thats all.

As far as the 'greatest country in the world'.. lol. US should stop claiming that by now, now that they have a clown at the highest office who's trolling media more than he does any work.

In some cases yes, but they aren't the majority of what constitutes DACA. As for the politics around this issue, since this policy was brought forth by the previous administration, the current administration wants to take the credit for any "fix" they put in to resolve the issue. At least that's what it seems to be, it might get noisier before a resolution gets passed in the coming months.

Better to send fake univ and consultancy experts back to India rather than these kids...
