Spider Trade Report - over 50% losses

SPYder is almost done with it’s run , it is now hardly getting any shares across the telugu states.Next week release is replacing Spyder in many theatres. This film is a disaster with over 50 percent losses to the distributor in every area . Now, have a look at the pre-release report published earlier , to estimate the losses area wise.

Nizam : Spyder is expected to collect a 9.8 Cr to 10 Cr range share here, distributor Dil Raju will be losing 11 Crores as he paid 20 Cr as NRA. In addition to NRA , 1 crore expenses he incurred.

Uttarandhra : It may collect near to 4 Cr share, expected loss is 4.1 Crores in this zone

Ceded : It is own release by producers in Rayalaseema and the film won’t be even touching 5cr share which is a disaster business by any yardstick.

Guntur : Spyder is expected to close its business at 3.6 Crores, resulting to a loss of 3.6 Crore

East Godavari : Expected share in full run is 3.8 Cr, distributor will incur more than 2 Crore

West Godavari : In West, Spyder is expected to collect a 2.85 crore share in full run, a loss of 2.4 Crore for the distributor

Nellore : In its full run, Spyder will do a business of 1.9 Cr maximum , 1 crore loss is expected for the distributor

Karnataka : Including hires the film is expected to close it’s business in the range of 6.6cr-6.8cr with a humongous loss of 4 Crore

Tamil Nadu : The film opened to decent reports here but the other two Tamil releases have damaged the box-office prospects. It is expected to close it’s business in the range of 10-11 cr with a minimum loss of 6-7 cr

North India : The film is an own release through reliance entertainment and did very good business of more than 2.2 Cr which is third biggest for any Telugu film

USA : In Mahesh’s home turf , Spyder has ended up as biggest disaster of all south indian films in history. Spyder has collected a mere 5.5 Cr share thus leaving a huge 8.5 crore loss here. Rest of Overseas : A loss of 5 Cr is expected for the involved parties as share will be a maximum of 3 cr Thus Spyder’s overseas ( USA & Non-USA) loss is a staggering 13.5 Crores All in all, Producers had made profits , but distributors are losing more than 50 Crores World Wide

Verdict : DISASTER
