i am also in same boat, not sure what to learn Hadoop side veldammu anthe so many tools unnayyi. 

Datastage nunchi challa mandhi Talend ki move avuthunnayyi clients. 

Tools nunchi bayataku vacheddammu annukuntunna 

Data Science, data mining ..etc antharru andharru. But openings levvu and most positions anni West side unnayyi. 

North east inka traditional ETL lo ne unnayyi most clients. 

Suggesstions kossam nenu waiting here.

better go with data analytics with python or R

Python or R nerchukoni then get a training in data analytics (Tableu or obiee) or as data scientist
