Telugu Desam leaders’ attempt to burn YSRC effigy foiled

Guntur: Telugu Desam leaders tried to burn the effigies of YSR Congress president and Opposition leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and eight other leaders terming them Narakasuras traumatising AP, on the occasion of Diwali in Guntur on Wednesday night. However, the police entered the scene and foiled the bid of Narakasura vadha. 

The TD leaders and activists arranged a big cutout of Mr Jagan, having the photos of eight other YSRC leaders attached on both sides of his head at Donka Road. 

The photos included the faces of YSRC leader R.K.  Roja, Ambati Rambabu, V. Vijayasai Reddy, Kodali Nani, Y.V. Subba Reddy, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Bhumana Karunakar Reddy and Alla Ramakrishna Reddy. 

On information, the police rushed to the spot and asked the TD leaders to refrain from the act but in vain. 

Finding no other option, the police forcefully snatched away the effigy and left the place. Later, the TD cadre  burst crackers and aired slogans against mr Jagan and other YSRC leaders.
