Not applicable for desis. It has some major flaws. It considered the national average in spending proportions on healthcare, housing, transportation, which is not applicable for us. It assumed 40-50% of salary goes to housing which is not the case for desis. We do not fall in average category. We are earning 200% times the average. Same proportions won't apply.

Whatever the rent, it is not even close to 30%. For 100K, you pay 30K rent? where? CNN assumed it is 40-50%. Applicable for people with much lesser pay.
