‘నష్టాల మార్గం’లో బుల్లెట్‌ రైలు 

ముంబయి: బుల్లెట్‌ రైలు నిర్మాణానికి కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం ఎంపిక చేసిన మార్గం నష్టదాయకమైందనే విమర్శలు వస్తున్నాయి. ఆర్టీఐ కింద వచ్చిన ఓ దరఖాస్తుకు సమాధానంగా రైల్వేశాఖ ఈ విషయాన్ని వెల్లడించింది. ప్రస్తుతం ముంబయి- అహ్మదాబాద్‌ మధ్య బుల్లెట్‌రైలు నిర్మాణానికి శ్రీకారం చుట్టారు. కానీ ఈ మార్గంలో ఇప్పటికే ప్రయాణిస్తున్న రైళ్లలో 40శాతం సీట్లు ఖాళీగా ఉంటున్నట్లు రైల్వే శాఖ తెలిపింది. గత మూడునెలల్లో ఈ మార్గంలో సీట్లు భర్తీ కాకపోవడంతో రైల్వేశాఖకు రూ.29.9 కోట్లు నష్టం వాటిల్లింది.

ముంబయికి చెందిన ఆర్టీఐ కార్యకర్త అనిల్‌ గల్గలీ అడిగిన ప్రశ్నకు పశ్చిమ రైల్వే కమర్షియల్‌ మేనేజర్‌ స్పందించారు. జులై 1 నుంచి సెప్టెంబర్‌ 30 మధ్య ఈ మార్గంలో ఆదాయ వివరాలను వెల్లడించారు. ఈ మార్గంలో తిరిగే మొత్తం 63 రైళ్ల నుంచి రూ.29 కోట్లు నష్టం వాటిల్లినట్లు సమాధానంలో పేర్కొన్నారు. ఈ మార్గంలో శతాబ్ది ఛైర్‌కార్‌ రైలు మాత్రమే అత్యంత రద్దీగా వెళుతుందని పేర్కొన్నారు. కొత్తగా ఎటువంటి రైలు ప్రతిపాదనలు లేవని పేర్కొన్నారు.

సెప్టెంబ‌ర్‌ నెలలో జపాన్‌ ప్రధాని షింజోఅబేతో కలిసి ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోదీ ఈ మార్గంలో బుల్లెట్‌ ట్రైన్‌ ప్రాజెక్టుకు శంకుస్థాపన చేశారు. ఈ ప్రాజెక్టుకు ప్రభుత్వం రూ.1.10లక్షల కోట్లు ఖర్చుపెట్టనుంది.

Its a Demanding route no doubt but the shatabdi occupancy took a hit primarily due to flexi fare.... Flexi fare valla occupancy dip effect can be seen on most of Durontos, Rajdhanis,Shatabdis.

Do you know that funding is by JICA ? And Indian govt is only providing with land. Operation period is 30 years and interest rate is 0.5%? 

This is the first phase of Mumbai-Delhi industrial corridor and it will run through Ahmedabad and Jaipur until Delhi.

When bullet train starts running, all other services will be reduced in frequency and slowly they will get people on board. 

This is a massive investment in infrastructure and Japanese people are not fools to invest so much of money from their pockets without any margin.
