masakali Posted November 2, 2017 Report Posted November 2, 2017 You can buy on coinbase or other exchanges. Account setup chesukovali, and yes you will need to provide your ID proof, I forget if SSN is required on coinbase. Tax returns gurinchi inka clarity ledu janalaki, if exchanges provide you a statement, when you sell... then yes its better to show in tax returns. Quote

Optimus654 Posted November 2, 2017 Report Posted November 2, 2017 Gdax is the best exchange . Less fees. Owned by coinbase. Don't know about taxes. You can hook debit card or credit card or bank account or wire money. Quote

You can use GDax or Gemini exchanges both charge less compare to other sites like coinbase. If you are planning to buy LiteCoin then Gemini doesn't support. Trading Fee is slightly lesser [I guess 0.05%] in Gemini in comparison with GDax, also Gemini allow you to buy coins before funds are approved. But GDax fares well in terms of charts and user interface. Buying now or not is completely up to you. Some folks are saying it will touch 10k but some folks are saying it will come down again. Watch the market closely for a week or so and then take decision accordingly. Quote

masakali Posted November 2, 2017 Report Posted November 2, 2017 coinbase/GDAX are both same companies. Same account to login. COinbase is much simpler to use, so high fees. GDAX is okay to use, but need to do limit orders to buy for less fee. There are youtube videos out there on how to avoid coinbase fees and buy from gdax. they explain fairly easily. Only when you withdraw money, tax kattali anukunta... knai on taxes clarity ledu evari degara yet. Quote
Ismail bhai Posted November 3, 2017 Report Posted November 3, 2017 For starters coinbase is good way to start. Use referral link to get both users $10 Quote
