Can I go for visa stamping with old H1B approval i797?

Yes. When I give my new LCA, they will know I must have applied for amendment.

But how much risk involved? What % do they ask for original, even though I have a print out mentioning it is approved already?

when is your date and how much it would take for you to get your new notice man?

best option is to wait till the original arrives, if VO is frustrated he will say 221G Admin processing

Dec 9 is my date.

Not sure how long will it take to receive original.

You are correct, that is what I am scared of at the moment, though most of the ppl on Redbus, Murthy law firm sites got away with it.

221G is the scariest part no one wants to go through. I will reconsider my plans.

in general we dont give i797 until they ask..and sometimes they dont even ask..nadhi same situation last year..last moment lo vachindi..but just passport adigadu anthe naku apudu

naak amendment ante kooda telvadu 3 years back atla ne stamping pothe reject chesindu...appudu telisindi itla amendment anedi okati untadi client maarithe file cheyaale ani...they know everything...inka admin processing padithe oka 6 months koosuntav better take that with you

nee pichi kakapothe..original ravataniki pedha time pattadhu...unless u lost the original and reapplied for a copy...
