not sure why you all strongly believe that prime vendors don't pay when you are on bench.

I know a company that does it actually, Infosys ki yekkuva delliote ki takkuva rate charge chesthundhi client ki.

they never hire contractors, they don't have offshore and they hire only fulltime. Bench lo unte pay chestharu, I personally know few people who were paid for being on bench for atleast 4 months. okadu aythey 6 months unnadu bench lo.

Your definition of "bench period" may be different to what people are talking here. You may be talking about pure consulting players, but the discussion here is about desii/non-desi body shops.
