LOL true that Paul adams wasn't a legend by any means or even no where near to him... Our Yesteryear's batsman read the spin from the hand which is basic thought in our circles..

But now a days batsmen don't do that much they pick from pitch so they do struggle sometimes and not as good as earlier gens.

Offcourse now a days analysis baaga pergindi have to be very good at adapting the game else will be washed away.

Shane Warne was very successful against teams that don't play spinners well, like England, South Africa, Pakistan etc. 

He wasn't that effective against teams like India and even New Zealand esp Chris Cairns had no trouble picking him apart.

Just in India. Same as with any other great player. Lara has average of just 33 in India compared to around 50 in any other country in Tests. That doesn't mean he is not great player.

He was successful in all other countries except in India. He has the best average and SR against NZ.

Shane warne got very smooth action, normally if you see legspinners bowling action,  thier follow through is as not as wift as off spinners.
And more over bowler should have courage to flight the ball more to get wickets, bowler enta flight cheste, over the eye line of batsmen, then there is more chance of getting wickets. 

In that process legspinners will give away more runs than off spinners. 
Off spinners are more to contain runs, and more over leg spinners can bowl diff varieties than off spinners as form my exp

Top spin, i know only these ones, because i can only bowl these many varities. 

good thing about leg spin is you can't chuck.

especially Sidhu picked Share wanre better  than any other batsmen in the world. 

Then Sachin wqas successful to change his line and length and bowl diff, where sachin catched up on Warne.
