PM Modi confirms Metro launch, SPG does a recce of Miyapur station : Nov 28th, 3 PM

The Miyapur station where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Hyderabad Metro Rail.

The Metro Rail will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Miyapur on November 28, according to a communication received by the Telangana police. The exact time and other details have yet to be worked out. This puts an end to days of nervous speculation about whether or not the line would be ready in time for the Prime Minister to flag it off.

The Special Protection Group, which is in charge of the Prime Minister’s security, inspected the Miyapur Metro Rail station on Tuesday afternoon to evaluate the situation and note the time it will take to travel on the Metro Rail from Miypaur to SR Nagar, as Mr Modi is expected to do, and also the time it will take to travel to the venue of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2017 which the Prime Minister will also inaugurate.

A senior government official said the tentative schedule is that the Prime Minister will first inaugurate the Metro Rail at Miyapur at 3 pm. “He is expected to fly from Begumpet to Miyapur. The train ride will be from Miyapur to S R Nagar and back. The time period is being set to understand the time the ride will take.” There are 10 stations and the route is 12 km long.

Its a 15,000 crore investment....I'm glad finally public transportation is coming into private players. It would take a while for the people to get used to it but eventually everything will be planned with metro in mind..

Atleast there would be good monitoring and liability when private players come into play...fa cities upgrade and keeping up with the technology will be plus points..

but only missing point is Miyapur to Financial Dist ki connectivity ledu whcih can turn off lots off IT employees.

Hope IT companies step up and provide Shuttles from there.

they are planning to cut down number of buses where Metro is available.

All the interior places will run trips to nearest metro stations...and in between metro, they will cut down on the trips hence reducing the bus network with the city

That’s the bottleneck...! Adokkati finish aithe traffic congestion will come down by a quarter atleast...imagine there would be hardly any buses running in between lb nagar and miyapur
