It is not always your technical abilities that get you through interviews. Communication and presence of mind and problem solving skills are what that some managers see.

 

my manager saw only my understanding on domain. infact it was all about domain related business questions on tie/untie which was all the hour was about.

 

At the end I asked him whether it is a developer position or Business Analyst. He laughed and said that technology is not his cup of tea and he leaves it to me but just to understand what it is the impact from business perspective he needs to see if I can communicate to him on what the loss would be
